We believe every woman deserves dignity and a chance to thrive. The Sisterhood Projects bridges the gap by providing essential baby supplies like diapers and period products, alongside the supportive network of a caring community. Together, we ensure all families have the resources they need to flourish.

Dr. Beverly Harris-Coleman

Executive Director

The Sisterhood Projects, Inc. Foundation was established by Dr. Beverly Harris-Coleman in July of 2017. At the age of 16, Dr. Harris-Coleman began her journey into motherhood. During this time Dr. Harris-Coleman was able to reside at Florence Crittenton Maternity Home in Atlanta, Ga. She was able to continue her education, learning parenting and life skills.

After raising three children and continuing her education, Dr. Harris-Coleman decided that she wants to give back to the community by starting her own maternity home. She wants to give back to teens who found themselves pregnant and need support on their journey. Dr. Harris-Coleman wants to remove barriers that will hinder a teen from becoming a positive member of society.

The Sisterhood Maternity Home is offering continuing education, job readiness, parenting skills, and mentoring, just to name a few.

THE SUSTAINABILITY

FUNDING

We will rely on our current community, corporate, and fiscal partnerships and continually build new relationships. We understand that having a well-rounded income stream consisting of corporate, faith-based and community-based organizations and agencies as well as funding from individual giving, monthly giving programs, foundations, government, and corporate sources will assist in ensuring our program’s continued success.

COLLABORATION

We will continue to work and partner with our faith-based organizations. local businesses, local government agencies and community-based non-profit organizations to support our endeavors in promoting our program and seeking new volunteers and program participants.

SERVICES

We will offer a wide variety of interventions and solutions with our committed local community and government partnerships, so we can have a fully-balanced plan for ways to help meet the needs of our target population.

ACCOUNTABILITY

We understand without proper funding, we will be unable to provide our program’s services as well as the number of pregnant teenage girls and teen parents we serve. In this instance, we will increase our fundraising efforts.

Evaluation

We will continually evaluate our program as well as publicize our results that demonstrate our program’s success and effectiveness.

VISION STATEMENT

The Sisterhood Projects, envisions building a loving and stable environment and support network for pregnant and parenting teens and young adults to become equipped with the tool, resources, and skills to create a hopeful future for themselves and their children.
